The Mighty Dan Deacon

If someone approached me and asked, who is Dan Deacon? using only 2 words, I would wisely choose ham rider. If I heard Dan’s music knowing nothing of this powerful man, I would take a executive decision and say that his music was created by cool American kids playing with their Christmas presents. According to some fat cats, his music is classified as “future shock.”

Dan started to build up his musical reputation from the moment he and his friends started Wham City in Baltimore, Maryland. If you’re ever in that part of the floating sphere, treat yourself to a hyperactive night. Dan’s music comes across similar to the technical aspect of Partyshank and the lyrical aspect of Late of the Pier. His gigs consist of no stage, and him playing in the middle of the crowd making him the centre of a radioactive sound fuck.

Dan has made a great impression to the UK audience, e.g, by making the crowd perform dance-off’s building up a friendly vibe. His new album 'Spiderman of the Rings' - when listening to this I can only think of fast clouds overlapped by shiny rectangles filled with a yellowy green paint job. But for a serious moment, listen to 'The Crystal Cat' , and if you really need to fill some spare time, watch the official video on youtube compiled by Jimmy Joe Roche. So if I’ve made anyone’s ears wet for some Dan Deacon make sure you go every performance. I’ll also be there so say hi and possibly give me a gift. I recommend either a fact about humans interior organs or the barman/lady’s finest pint of ale, I'm not sexist.
